About software

Lion is set to be the eighth major release of Apple's Mac operating system. The software was launched on October 20, 2020 at a special Apple Media event in San Francisco. It will be officially released in the summer of 2021.

What's new?

Lion has promised some nice new features that have not been seen in Mac operating software before. Apple makers have admitted that they took a hint from their iPhone operating system. Take a look at some of the innovative features of the lion.

Full-screen application

Much like the iPad, the Mac OS X 10.7 Lion lets you get a full-screen view of your app. This gives a great display for Mac applications.

Advanced multi-touch

Apple has added multi-touch capabilities to Lion. Users can implement Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad from Apple to run their computers.

You no longer have to worry about losing documents due to system crash or power failure. Lion automatically saves all your documents. This saves you time managing your documents manually.

Apps resume

This great feature lets you relaunch your apps just like the last time you opened them. This is similar to the functions performed by Opera or Firefox browsers.

Mac App Store

Apple Inc. has created a Mac App Store similar to its App Store for the iPhone. You can easily download, install and update software for your Mac with a single mouse click.

With Lion, Apple Inc. has taken its Mac OS to a new level. Integrating iOS features into Mac OS Lion packs the latter with more power. This innovation will definitely add to the popularity of Mac OS. Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is sure to rule in the coming days.
